Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and MUCO Apps ("we", "us", "our") for your use of the LicencePass mobile app, its content and related services (together, "LicencePass").

Please read them together with our Privacy Policy. By downloading or using LicencePass you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1Acceptance & eligibility

You may use LicencePass if you can form a binding agreement with us, or if a parent or guardian agrees to these Terms for you. LicencePass is intended for people preparing for a driving licence and is not directed to children under 13. If you use LicencePass on behalf of a driving school or other organisation, you confirm you are authorised to accept these Terms for it.

2What LicencePass is

LicencePass is an independent study app for the driving licence theory test in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Pakistan. It offers lessons on traffic rules and road signs, practice questions with explanations, spaced-repetition review, and mock exams modelled on the published formats of the relevant testing authorities.

3Study aid only: no guarantee

• No guarantee of passing. Readiness scores, "likely to pass" indicators and mock-exam results are estimates based on your practice in the app. They do not predict or guarantee the result of your official test.
• Questions are for practice. The question bank is written to reflect the rules and topics of each official test. The questions are not the official exam questions, and the real test may differ in wording, format, number of questions, time limits and pass marks.
• Rules change. Traffic laws, fines, penalty points, fees, speed limits and licensing procedures change. We show a source and "updated" date on content and work to keep it current, but we cannot guarantee that everything is complete, accurate or up to date at all times.
• Always check official sources before relying on any rule, fine, fee or procedure, and follow the official handbook, your driving instructor, and road signs and police instructions.
• LicencePass does not provide legal advice.

4Road safety

Never use LicencePass while driving or in any situation where it could distract you from the road. Knowing the theory does not replace supervised practical training. You are responsible for driving safely and lawfully.

5Accounts & sign-in

• You can use LicencePass without an account. The app creates an anonymous identifier to authorise content downloads, as described in the Privacy Policy.
• You may optionally sign in with Apple or Google to back up and sync your progress. You are responsible for keeping access to that Apple or Google account secure and for activity that happens through it.
• You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Account → Delete account or as described on our Support page. Deleting your account permanently removes your synced progress; we cannot restore it.

6Free features & purchases

LicencePass is currently free. Some features may be labelled "Premium, free during launch". We may later offer those or other features as optional paid features. The core study content will remain available to use.

If and when paid features are offered:

• What you buy: purchases are expected to be one-time, non-consumable unlocks (for example a lifetime unlock for one market, or for all markets), as described on the purchase screen at the time. You receive a personal, non-transferable licence to use the unlocked features; you do not buy ownership of the content.
• Payment is processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play under their terms. Prices are shown in the store before you confirm, and may vary by country and change over time. Prices already paid are not affected.
• Restoring: you can restore purchases on a new device with the same store account using "Restore Purchases", or by signing in to your LicencePass account.
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. We cannot issue refunds directly for store purchases. Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory consumer rights.
• "Lifetime" means for as long as we offer LicencePass and the purchased market's content. If we ever discontinue the app, we will give reasonable notice where possible. Where we change or remove a paid feature in a way that materially reduces what you paid for, we will offer a reasonable remedy or, where the law requires, a refund.
• If optional rewarded ads are offered (watch an ad to unlock something temporarily), that unlock is temporary, has no cash value, and may be limited.

7Advertising

LicencePass currently shows no ads. If we introduce ads, they will not be shown between questions or on question and exam screens. Ads are provided by third parties, and we are not responsible for advertisers' products, services or websites. How ad data is handled is explained in the Privacy Policy.

8Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• copy, scrape, extract, resell, republish or redistribute the question bank, explanations, lessons or other content, or use it to build a competing product or train machine-learning models;
• reverse engineer, decompile, or bypass encryption, licensing or purchase checks, except where the law expressly allows it;
• interfere with, overload, or try to gain unauthorised access to our servers, other users' data, or the content delivery service;
• use automated means (bots or scripts) to access the service or submit reports;
• submit reports or feedback that are unlawful, abusive, misleading or that include other people's personal information;
• use LicencePass in any way that breaks applicable law, including by presenting it as official exam material.

9Reports & feedback

We welcome "Report an error" submissions and suggestions. By sending them, you permit us to use them, without any obligation or payment to you, to correct and improve LicencePass. We decide whether and how to change the content.

10Intellectual property

LicencePass and its original content (including questions, explanations, lesson text, illustrations, design, software and the LicencePass name and logo) are owned by MUCO Apps or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial study, in line with these Terms and the app store rules.

Official road signs, markings and legal texts belong to their respective authorities and are reproduced for educational reference. Other trademarks belong to their owners, and their use does not imply endorsement.

11Third-party services

LicencePass relies on third-party services such as the Apple App Store, Google Play, Sign in with Apple, Google Sign-In, and our backend and content-delivery providers. Your use of those services is also governed by their own terms. The app may link to official websites or resources. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or availability.

12Updates & availability

We may update, change or remove features or content, including to reflect new laws or exam formats. Downloaded content keeps working offline, but some features (content updates, sign-in, sync, purchases) need an internet connection and may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance or events beyond our control. Some updates may be required to keep using the app, for example when the question format changes.

13Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, LicencePass is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. These include warranties of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose (including passing an official test), non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so some of these may not apply to you.

14Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MUCO Apps is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, opportunity, fees or time. This includes the cost of retaking a test, fines, or consequences of relying on content that was outdated or incorrect. Our total liability for any claim relating to LicencePass is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid for LicencePass in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) USD 20.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or your mandatory consumer rights.

15Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify MUCO Apps against claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) that arise from your misuse of LicencePass or your breach of these Terms.

16Termination

You may stop using LicencePass and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms, or if required by law. Where reasonable, we will tell you why. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (for example intellectual property, disclaimers and limitation of liability) continue to apply.

17Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms, for example when paid features, ads or new markets are introduced. We will change the "Last updated" date, and for material changes we will notify you in the app before they take effect. If you keep using LicencePass after the changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms; if you do not agree, you can stop using the app and delete your account.

18Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and the courts of Pakistan have jurisdiction, except where the mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence give you the right to bring claims locally or to rely on local law. Before starting any formal dispute, please contact us so we can try to resolve it informally.

19App Store & Google Play terms

If you downloaded LicencePass from the Apple App Store

• These Terms are between you and MUCO Apps only, not Apple. MUCO Apps, not Apple, is solely responsible for LicencePass and its content.
• Your licence is limited to using LicencePass on Apple-branded products you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions (including Family Sharing where enabled).
• Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for LicencePass. Please contact us for support.
• If LicencePass fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any). To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for LicencePass.
• MUCO Apps, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to LicencePass or your use of it, including product-liability claims, claims that it fails to meet legal or regulatory requirements, and consumer-protection or privacy claims.
• If a third party claims that LicencePass infringes their intellectual property, MUCO Apps, not Apple, is responsible for investigating, defending, settling and discharging the claim.
• You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as "terrorist supporting", and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
• You must comply with applicable third-party terms when using LicencePass.
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

If you downloaded LicencePass from Google Play

Your use is also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service. Google is not responsible for LicencePass or its support.
